Privacy Policy
The short version
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party trackers, and has no accounts, forms, or comment sections. We do not collect, sell, or share personal data.
Hosting (Vercel)
This site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like virtually all web hosts, Vercel's infrastructure processes standard connection data (such as your IP address, user-agent string, and requested URL) transiently in order to serve pages and protect against abuse. This processing happens on Vercel's systems under Vercel's privacy policy; the Hyaecord project does not receive, store, or analyze this data. For visitors in the EU/EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions, the legal basis for this transient processing is legitimate interest in serving and securing the website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
The /discord redirect
Visiting /discord runs a small server-side function that asks Discord's public widget API for the server's current invite link, then redirects your browser to Discord. The function sends no information about you to Discord and stores nothing. Once redirected, you are on Discord's services under Discord's privacy policy.
External links
This site links to GitHub, Discord, and other external services. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave this site.
The Hyaecord app & anonymous usage stats
The Hyaecord desktop client sends one small anonymous ping per
day to this domain (/api/telemetry) so the project
can know roughly how many people use it and on which platforms. The ping
contains: a random ID generated on your machine (never linked to your
Discord account, IP address, or any other identity), the app version,
operating system, CPU architecture, and desktop environment family.
It never contains messages, usernames, server names, or behavioural
profiles.
This is disclosed in the client's first-run wizard and can be switched off at any time in Settings — off means off; no further data is sent, not even a final "goodbye" ping. The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest in maintaining the project (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); because the data is anonymous, it cannot be tied back to you. IP addresses are not stored by the telemetry endpoint. Any other feature that would transmit data (such as cloud settings sync) remains opt-in and explained in plain language before it is enabled. See the main repository for details.
Your rights & contact
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe otherwise, or have any privacy question, open an issue on the main repository and it will be addressed. Data-protection rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and comparable laws are respected in full.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this URL with an updated date. The full history is visible in the website repository.
